 Adoption: The Dual View

Adoption is an extremely emotional topic on its own. Not only is the biological mother affected, but also the adoptive parents, hoping for a chance to have a child to both provide and care for. Once the choice has been made by the biological mother to place her child up for adoption, one must understand that some of these mothers arrived at that decision because adoption seemed the only logical choice perhaps because of any number of seemingly unchangeable circumstances. However these women arrived at this point, it was an emotional and possibly scarring process.

Some of these unchangeable circumstances, such as, an unplanned pregnancy occurring out of wedlock, an un-wanted pregnancy, or even a pregnancy for someone that for one reason or another had decided they did not wish to ever be a parent. This could result, primarily, government relations mother being concerned as to her ability to care for the child or children financially, and cause the mother to harbor feelings of intense dislike toward the child due to negative feelings from the pregnancy and possibly neglect of the child as well. These concerns of the mother, coupled with the drastically changing hormones during the pregnancy can result in a tumultuous time, emotionally, for her as well as the child.

Some pregnancies bring about uncertainty and confusion, sometimes invoking feelings of doubt concerning your abilities to care and provide for a child. At some point in time, the life-changing decision will be made that will affect many lives immediately as well as in the future. Whatever the crisis or situation that arrived, many mothers-to-be that do not wish to be parents at that point in time, are choosing government taxes their babies up for adoption, which is a tough, yet understandable choice. Rather than run the risk of becoming an abusive parent or something of a victim, these women have chosen to allow others to adopt their babies in the hopes that the lives of these babies will be enriched.

These decisions by these women are enabling couples everywhere to become parents. Some of these couples, even though not being able to conceive naturally or with medical assistance, now have a chance to become parents. That in itself makes adoption among the best decisions by far. Most usually the adoptive parents are secure both financially and emotionally, meaning they are focused on having, but more so wanting a child or children. Sometimes online nursing course alone makes a world of difference in the result of the child’s life and up bringing. One final problem to consider is the timing that most usually accompanies adoption. It is often a lengthy and tedious process to adopt a child. Most agencies that specialize in handling adoptions, take quite some time when approving the final adoptions. Although it is a necessary procedure for the safety of yourselves as well as the child or children being adopted, it would seem to be an overly lengthy amount of time, which sometimes results in couples losing faith and perhaps halting the process. Allow time for the system to work, adoption is still a wonderful choice.
